The classic elegance of the State Capitol Promenade is the traditional backdrop for many official state functions. Gubernatorial inaugurations,sundry speeches, assemblies and marches. In essence, the Promenade is the walkway of the people.

The original star was destoyed by lightning. We worked with a stone carver to duplicate every detail with Indiana limestone. The building was just not complete without it.

This award was given by the Associated General Contractors of Kentucky in the subcontractor division for Historic Preservation. The William Whitley Home is the oldest brick house in Kentucky and a state park for many years. We replaced all of the mortar joints on the exterior of the building.

A major rebuilding of the top of the tower, and a complete pointing and cleaning of the building returned this colorful blend of sandstone to its original beauty.
